After shopping for what seemed to be several years, I came across the Voyager by Rapter Series rooftop tent and I'm so happy that I did. This tent is really built well! If you know anything about tents, camping gear, and durability of outdoor gear then I can easily say that when you get this in your hands you'll be quite pleased. As far as rooftop tents go, it's quite light. There are many that are 20 to 40 pounds heavier and getting it up on top of my Jeep can be challenging. Although it's always a two man lift, it's not so bad when it's 20+ pounds lighter. What really drew me to the Voyager was how quickly it sets up. After going to a Sema show and watching them pull it open and close I had to try it myself. I couldn't believe how quickly it opened compared to my Smittybilt conventional rooftop tent. Now don't get me wrong, I love my Smittybilt tent however; it takes a lot longer to set up and a lot longer to pack up and put away and when the weather is not cooperating, well, you know what I'm saying. What I really like in addition to the quick setup is that it sets up only about half the height of what mostly rooftop tents sit at until the wind noise is considerably less the drag is considerably less and I notice a big difference in my gas mileage from my spending build setup to the new Voyager setup. That in itself speaks volumes! If you're looking for a rooftop tent, look no further. This tent has a nice big bed inside and gives you 48 inches of head clearance. A nice big panoramic view with a built-in overhang makes it a no brainer. You really can't beat it! I highly recommend this rooftop tent.

I've been looking at RTT's for a while. It came down to this one and the Smittybilt in the same price range. Ultimately I got the Raptor because of the easy of setup and tear down. I've used it on a trip last week where the winds were brutal and the temps down into the teens, and the tent did great. It came packed extremely well, and was shipped fast. I also bought a spare cover and it showed up just as fast. So for I am very impressed and would heartily recommend.
